L-3 Valmarine was the first company to develop a redundant network based Navigation System with a Multifunctional Concept.  The Multifunctional Concept means that all available applications e.g. ECDIS, Radar, Conning, IPMS, W-AIS can be operated from any installed Workstations.  L-3 Valmarine was also the first company to develop a network based radar display system.

A tendency from customers today is to simplify the different systems onboard and to exploit essential information between the systems.  This leads to more cost-effective solutions and operational benefits.  L-3 Valmarine has through the years developed a variety of proven interfaces to different CMS, IPMS and Weapon/Sensor suppliers.

The philosophy in L-3 Valmarine is to be involved in the early phase of a project and in cooperation with the customer to find cost effective solutions based on already proven and delivered technology in combination with new development as required by the customer from case to case.

Our experiences as System Integrator cover all phases of a project from conceptual design to system delivery.  We have a highly skilled and trained staff of engineers to support any phase of a project.  This activity normally includes early interaction between other integrators (CMS Integrator or IPMS Integrator), sub suppliers or shipyards to lower any potential risk in a project.
